Emerald Mountain Labs and its affiliate facility, Viridian Labs, are home to over 50,000 sq ft of cultivation space in Warren, Michigan. Our rapidly growing facilities demand skilled and talented people to help us expand and increase efficiencies throughout front and back-end operations. We’re seeking a driven, skilled Cultivation Manager with extensive experience growing in a state licensed facility setting. Responsible for directing team-tasks such as deleafing, scouting, trellising, harvesting etc.

The Cultivation Manager is expected to have knowledge of cannabis genetics and growth requirements. The candidate will assist the Chief of Cultivation by carrying out day-to-day processes within each grow, veg, and clone room. Evaluating the performance of team members through the day-to-day tasks associated with plant care. A qualified candidate will assist in meeting daily goals and ensure health of the plants, while maintaining all safety and compliance requirements. They are responsible for increasing operational efficiency and reducing waste through teamwork, communication and collaboration between team members. They must abide by Michigan state laws and regulations related to marijuana production and keep up to date on changes to these laws and regulations. Commercial Experience Required
  • Experience in a State-Licensed Cultivation Facility Required.
  • Minimum Previous Management Experience Based on Facility Size, Light Count, or Plant Count may be required.
  • Must be 21+, with a valid State ID, and able to pass additional background screening.
  • High level of integrity and a strong work ethic
Cultivation Manager Description:
  • Work directly with Chief of Cultivation to relay tasks and expectations to cultivation team members.
  • Responsible for assuring their assigned team completes tasks delegated by management.
  • Work closely with company management regarding all elements of cultivation and production.
  • Monitors the work of cultivation leads and cultivation techs to maintain healthy plants and achieve maximum production.
  • Helps plan all growing activities with management personnel to plan for growing activities that are consistent with planned production schedules.
  • Communicate with team members and management to accomplish tasks assigned.
  • Responsible for directing employees to top priority plant related tasks.
  • Provide daily progress reports and updates to Chief of Cultivation.
  • Monitors the successful training of employees.
  • Identify and resolve plant health issues with IPM Tech.
  • Monitor stock of cultivation supplies and equipment and coordinates with administration to order required supplies.
  • Preserves a culture of professionalism.
Job Qualifications:
  • Proven experience cultivating in a large-scale indoor cannabis facility.
  • Knowledge of entire cannabis growth cycle and inputs required.
  • Will be able to recognize issues and address them quickly.
  • Leadership and people management skills.
  • Understanding of pest and disease management techniques.
  • Experience working in fast-paced environments.
  • Basic understanding of CRA regulations and requirements.
  • Willingness to continue learning about cannabis farming, and passion to stay up to date on current and future growing trends.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Always ensuring standard operating procedures are being followed.
  • Arrive prepared, and before the cultivation team.
Communication Skills:
  • Must possess proficient English skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must possess effective oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a professional and effective manner.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with employees, management, and team members.
  • Ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural business environment.

Salary: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
